Kate Sheppard* is a very pale, pinky blush. Just a hint of colour for a warm, pretty ribbon. These ribbons are cut straight (not on the bias) so we can achieve the lovely softly frayed edges for a slightly different look to our standard ribbons.

• These silk ribbons are approximately 1.5m in length, which is a perfect length for tying on a bouquet, but if you require longer lengths you can easily stitch a few reels together

• Available in 3 widths - 2cm, 5cm, 8cm

• We hand-dye and hand-cut these silk ribbons in our Somerset workshop

• Made from the finest pure habotai silk, to give a soft, flowing look, with a slight shimmery effect.

• All dyes are handmade by us using plants we have sourced from the local area, reusing and recycling flowers and garden waste

• These ribbons are lightly frayed at the edges

• Supplied on handmade wooden peg and wrapped in tissue. You can choose to add on a natural Kraft gift box too

*Kate Sheppard was born in England in 1847. Kate moved to New Zealand in the 1860s, where she became a feminist and a leader of the women's suffrage movement. Having played an important part in gaining votes for women in the first country in the world to do so, Kate went on to campaign for the same in other countries.
