Caroline Herschel* is warm, pale, coppery hue, with a muted rusty feel. These ribbons are cut straight (not on the bias) so we can achieve the lovely softly frayed edges for a slightly different look to our standard ribbons.

• These silk ribbons are approximately 1.5m in length, which is a perfect length for tying on a bouquet, but if you require longer lengths you can easily stitch a few reels together

• Available in - 2cm, 5cm, 8cm.

• We hand-dye and hand-cut these pure silk ribbons in our Somerset workshop

• Made from the finest habotai silk, to give a soft, flowing look, with a slight shimmery effect.

• All botanical dyes are handmade by us using plants we have sourced from the local area, reusing and recycling flowers and garden waste

• Supplied on handmade wooden peg and wrapped in tissue. You can choose to add on a natural Kraft gift box too

*Born in 1750 in Germany. Caroline Herschel moved to Bath with her astronomer brother where she became his housekeeper and assistant. She began to make her own discoveries, including several comets. She received a pension from King George III for her work and was awarded a gold medal by the Royal Astronomical Society. She died at the age of 98.
